Work It

It's been a busy week so apologies for the lack of posting.  I've been working on an interesting but time-consuming work project that is eating up my days and nights.  So I'll be posting more stuff in the next day or so!

In the meantime, here's a photo of Canandaigua Lake in NY that I took with my Yashica.  It's one of the Fingers Lakes and one of my favorite places to spend in the Summer and Fall.  But I wouldn't even mind kicking back there now in a cozy B&B.

What's Old is New Again

Some more photos from Rochester taken with the "Retro Camera" app on my HTC Evo....shots of Sonnenberg Gardens, a seagull at Lake Ontario on a rainy day and the inside of the mansion at Sonnenberg.

Dreaming of Summer...Vacation

Ok, so it's been a while.  I was doing so well with my posts and then got absolutely slammed at work.  To the point that it was just draining to do anything else.  Thankfully I had the opportunity to take some time off despite the madness and go home to Rochester to visit my family.  Here are some photos from my trip.  These shots were taken at Sonnenberg Gardens in Canandaigua, NY with my HTC Evo using the Retro Camera app.  More to come...

This is England

Happy Wednesday!  As I mentioned in a previous post, my boyfriend and I took a trip to England last fall.  Here are a few more images from England's Lakes District.  This is a view from Derwent Water.

Where the Grass is Always Greener

This past autumn, my boyfriend Wendel and I traveled up to Northern England and Scotland for a holiday break.  This location inspired us because Wendel is an avid cyclist and he got accepted to race in the "Three Peaks Cyclocross Race."  Calling this race crazy is an understatement.  Thankfully it's situated in beautiful North Yorkshire so at least you can admire the beautiful countryside before you collapse from exhaustion.  The race takes anywhere from 3-6 hours to complete and entails climbing three peaks, none of which are rideable because of the steep incline.

Anyway, I'll be posting a variety of pictures from our trip over the next couple weeks.  These first shots are from the Northern Lakes District located in northwest England.  We stayed in a charming lakeside town called Keswick on Derwentwater.  I was surprised to learn that the region is quite mountainous so it's perfect if you're a fan of mountain biking and hiking/walking.  You can also walk around the perimeter of the entire lake.  These are two of my favorite shots from the region...
